JUNE 6, 2016 MINUTES

LAKE COUNTRY ANTIQUE TRACTOR ASSOCIATION

EDGETA BRANCH 145

          JUNE 6, 2016 MINUTES

President Ron Davis called the meeting to order at 7 PM with twenty one members present. Mr. Lee asked for prayers for his cousin, Larry from Nacogdoches, who had recently had a stroke. It was reported that Jim Dozier had completed his treatments and was able to be up and about. Morris Krodle was called upon for the opening prayer.

The secretary’s minutes from the April meeting were approved as written. Brenda Wisdom, club treasurer, passed out copies of the financial report. It indicated a bank balance of $4,679.28. Her report was approved as presented.

Ron read a letter from Becky House telling about a sale of her father’s tractors and equipment in McAlester, OK on June 11. He passed out flyers to those interested in the sale.

The club president stated that our recent show and pull in Emory was a success. We had a good turn out since the arts and crafts booths were moved to the pull location. The Rains County Commissioners are still saying that they plan to build us a clay track. Hopefully, it will be ready for our fall pull at that location. Several of our members attended the pull in Paris and reported that it was a good one.

Ron read the names of the club’s scholarship recipients for this year. They are: Brooke Brickey and Carter Lennon from Alba-Golden, Cody Dean Vance from Sulphur Bluff, and Dakota Watkins from Sulphur Springs. There were many compliments made about these young people.

It was reported that the pull sled needs new batteries and that the large sign that displays distance needs work. Phill and Joe Bob are working on these problems and will have them in order by our next pull.

Ron reminded everyone that elections for new officers would be coming up soon and we need a new president.

The meeting was adjourned at 7:50.

 Respectfully submitted,

Sally Smith
