President Don Hatton called the meeting to order at 7:03 with twenty five in attendance. Health concerns discussed were: Katy Patterson fell and broke her hip this past week and Mr. Gerald Walters is not doing well. Both are in need of our prayers. The opening prayer was given by Leon Gunn.
We were very pleased to welcome a new member to our club, Mr. Ron Woods from Alba.
Minutes from the April meeting were distributed and approved as written. Our treasurer, Brenda Wisdom, was not present but sent a financial report which was given by Don Hatton. The financial report was approved as presented.
We were very happy to have all three of our scholarship recipients and their parents with us tonight. They are:
Kathryn Hubman from Quitman told us that she is planning on becoming an agriculture teacher.
Ari Nivison (who is Ron and Rosa Davis' granddaughter) from Alba-Golden plans on majoring in broadcast journalism.
Molly Hatton (who is Don and Patsy Hatton's granddaughter) from Athens is planning on becoming a nurse.
The pull at LFTB Cowboy Church in Athens was very successful. We received $1,200 from this pull. Our next pull is this coming Saturday in Terrell. We will need many volunteers to help with this. June 19 is the date for the pull in Emory at their Founder's Day Celebration. Alba tractor will let us use one of their tractors for the event. The officials at Alba have promised to mow the pull area.
It was reported that the officers have had many discussions about the income from tractor pulls. We have found out that we can make up to $50,000 before we have to pay taxes. We will continue to call the money we receive from pulls "donations".
UPCOMING PULLS FOR LCATA
Sept. 26 --------Emory fall fun pull
Oct. 9 ----------Bonham pull
Oct. 23 --------Golden pull
We have lost the "Help A Child" pull in Sulphur Springs. They are having a livestock show instead. Wade Bartley is working with several Masonic lodges to try and work out a tractor pull. If one is scheduled it will be sometime in July-August and will be a paying pull.
Our next meeting will be on August 2 at Paredes in Mineola.

President Don Hatton called the meeting to order at 6:50 with seventeen in attendance. Health concerns were discussed first. Richard Brown is taking chemo and is back driving his Pilot truck. Kevin Watkins, who we have mentioned before, is now recovering at home. Bobby Steele from the Lone Star Club is scheduled for surgery soon. Bruce Burnham, Leon Gunn, Morris Krodle and his wife have all had COVID.
Gordon McCosh opened the meeting with prayer.
The secretary’s minutes from December were approved as written. The treasurer’s report was also approved as presented. Dues need to be paid to the treasurer ASAP. They must be paid by April.
Scholarship applications are due by April 1. Members were encouraged to tell seniors about this scholarship and urge them to apply. Sally Smith made the motion to award two scholarships of $500 each. Patsy Hatton made the second and the motion was approved.
We will continue to place donation jars at the registration table for our pulls. Donations can be made for our scholarship fund and hooks.
Don reported that the lineup sheets which we used last year worked well and we will continue to use them. Brenda Wisdom told us that she has ink cartridges for the printer in the equipment trailer. We will see if that printer will now work. If not, we may need to buy another one.

There is a conflict on June 12. The Terrell Pull is scheduled for the same day. Terrell is not sure if their pull and show will take place. We are more obligated to Emory. The people at Emory told Don that they will not mow the area where we have the pull. We may have to have a work day on the Saturday before the pull to get the grounds in shape for our event.
The meeting was adjourned at 7:45

President Don Hatton called the meeting to order at 6:55 with 19 present. Health concerns mentioned were: Katie Patterson is having problems and is unable to be left alone. Philbrick Green, from the Terrell Club, passed away. The opening prayer was given by Bruce Burnham.
Minutes from February were approved as written. Copies of the financial report were passed out. Brenda Wisdom announced that we had received a $500 donation from Don and Wanda Sullivan. The money will go toward a scholarship which will mean that we can now award three instead of two. The financial report was approved as presented.
Club dues must be paid now.
April 10th will be the date for the LFTB Cowboy Church in Athens tractor show and pull. We need help from our club members. Some of the people from the church are not familiar with tractors so we need to help keep them safe. Everyone who pulls with the church will need to sign a release form before they can register for a pull. We will allow three hooks per driver. No V8’s will be allowed to pull.
The Canton Swap Meet is on the same day as the Cowboy Church pull.

DECEMBER 7, 2020 MINUTES
President Don Hatton called the meeting to order at 6:55 with seventeen in attendance. Health concerns were: Richard Brown is doing much better and is preparing for chemo, Kevin Watkins is doing much better after a gunshot to his face, Bobby Steele from the Lone Star Club has recovered from COVID-19 and might have prostate cancer. It was good to have Brenda and Roy Wisdom back with us. Don gave the opening prayer.
Minutes from the October meeting were passed out and approved as written. The treasurer’s report was distributed and approved. Both of the scholarships for this year have been paid. Don read a thank you note from Bella Yoder, one of our recipients. The Help A Child Pull was a great success. Don read a thank you note from Wade Bartley. Around $59,000 was raised at the event.
Don had a letter from EDGETA which said that they are over $25,000 in debt for the year. We do not know what the future holds for this organization. We may have to find another insurance carrier. Don reported that the lineup sheets which we are now using are helping our pulls run much smoother.
The Donation Jars we have used at the last two pulls have raised somewhere between $200 and $400. We were asked to let Don know if we had any more ideas to make money. It was suggested that we continue using the jars for hook fees and scholarship donations. Everyone thought this was a good idea.
The flood damage to the equipment trailer caused damage to our distance board. Steve Williams has found a new board which costs $2,500. He is going to take a closer look at the old board during the winter and see if he can do anything to get it working. It was expressed that we didn’t need to spend a lot of money with so much uncertainty about future pulls.
We do not know about our fall pull in Emory. The county says that they will not mow and upkeep the pull area. We are not sure about the future of this event. We may have to get the area ready ourselves.
It was pointed out that our Facebook page is not being updated. Lacey LaForce volunteered to take on this job.
Don told us that LFTB Cowboy Church in Athens has expressed interest in having us put on their tractor pull on April 10, 2021. Our club should receive around $1,000 for this pull which will greatly help our finances. We are assuming that we will still have the Greenville pull again this year. It should be on April 24th.
Officers for 2021 were nominated. Patsy Hatton made the motion to elect the nominees. Will Gandy made the second and the motion passed.
The officers for 2021 are as follows:
President -------------------- Don Hatton
Vice President -------------- Steve Williams
Treasurer -------------------- Brenda Wisdom
Secretary -------------------- Sally Smith
Safety Officer -------------- Danny Prochaska
Money was collected for a local charity. $104 was collected and the club will donate the rest to make $125. This year it was decided that we donate the money to the Red Rooster Restaurant’s fund to purchase toys for children for Christmas.
The meeting was adjourned at 7:40.
